Gear Cutting Tools
Takımsan was founded in 1981 as a manufacturer of precision gear cutting tools. The full company name — Takımsan Dişli Kesici Takımları Makina ve Yedek Parça San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. — reflects this origin: "Dişli Kesici Takımları" translates as "Gear Cutting Tools."
The planetary roller extruder (PLATEX) line grew from this gear cutting expertise: the planetary roller mechanism is fundamentally a precision gear assembly, and Takımsan's machining capabilities that produce cutting tools also manufacture the spindles, rollers and barrel profiles of the PLATEX range.
Cutting tools are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management. We hold Turkish patent registrations for certain tool geometries developed in-house. Standard and custom profiles are available; lead time for custom tools is typically 4–8 weeks depending on geometry complexity.
